Littlefield Woods

The Littlefield Woods project conserved approximately 24.3 acres of land including freshwater forested and scrub-shrub wetlands, a small pond, and forested upland buffer. The property is located within one of the largest undeveloped habitat blocks on Chebeague Island and was under high threat for development. The large habitat block is a critical stopover point for migratory birds and serves to further protect the island's sole source aquifer. Chebeague and Cumberland Land Trust has protected 11 other parcels in the Town of Chebeague Island, all located less than 2 miles from the site.
