Somerset Woods Trustees conserved 52.3 acres of land including: approximately 37 acres of freshwater forested, scrub-shrub, and emergent wetlands; approximately 1,560 feet of frontage on two perennial streams including Wesserunsett Stream which is mapped Wild Brook Trout habitat; seven confirmed vernal pools; and upland forest buffer. An area of mature, unharvested Northern White Cedar Swamp is present on a portion of the property. The site is part of a large Undeveloped Habitat Block identified by the Beginning With Habitat Program. SWT will retain and manage the Premises for its natural resource values and low-impact recreation.
